Alex McCullum
FOUNDER and TEACHER
Alex McCullum grew up and lives in the South End of Louisville with her husband, 3 kids, and their 14 farm animals. She received a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and taught 3rd grade in the Jefferson County Public School System for 3 years before becoming a Children’s Pastor. After 8 years of being in full-time ministry, she felt God leading her to step away from children’s ministry to stay home and begin homeschooling her children in 2024. She is passionate about partnering with families, encouraging moms in their journeys, finding creative ways to make learning fun, and seeing the south end community thrive. Apart from teaching, she also enjoys being outdoors, hiking, finding a good iced latte, and hanging with her backyard chickens.

Brittany Blakeman
FOUNDER and TEACHER
Brittany Blakeman grew up and lives in the South End of Louisville with her husband, 2 children, and their family dog. She received a Bachelor's of Elementary Education and taught 3rd and 4th grade in the Jefferson County Public School System for four years. She left teaching, to become a stay-at-home mom. In 2024, she felt a desire to pull her kids from the public school system and embrace homeschooling. She loves her community and the roots her family has established here. She desires for her children to grow strong connections with people and families around them. She loves partnering alongside families and helping them on their homeschool journey. When she's not at home teaching, she loves to spend time at their family farm in Breckenridge County, Kentucky, cheer on her son at his travel baseball games, and watch her daughter pursue her passion of dance. She's excited to partner with homeschool families in the South End and see God move.
